Ben Carson on Ferguson: We Should Remember ‘Police Are Individuals Too’

Dr. Ben Carson weighed in on the aftermath of a tragic shooting in Ferguson, Missouri tonight on The O’Reilly Factor. Carson said that people need to be careful about jumping to conclusions about the police, because police officers are people too and the cop who shot Michael Brown needs to be heard from.

Bill O’Reilly said that there are lots of people who have already jumped to conclusions about the police shooting “without knowing the facts.” He and Carson both expressed their sympathies for Brown’s grieving family and couldn’t even begin to imagine how they’re feeling.

Carson did add, “But at the same time, we need to recognize that police are individuals too. They have feelings also.” He said we need to hear from the officer who shot Brown, and find out exactly why he shot to kill instead of shooting to stop.
