‘Beyond, Beyond Devastating’: Charlie Kirk’s Network Confirms His Passing On Air
Real America’s Voice confirmed the death of Charlie Kirk on Wednesday, following his being shot in the neck while hosting an event on Utah Valley University.
Eric Bolling reported the news live on Real America’s Voice, the network that also ran Kirk’s show. “John Solomon’s reporting on Just the News that he’s passed. Yes, is this what I’m hearing? Yes, can I get it here? Yes, yes, yes. Wow, right here, right at this moment, guys. Let’s go around the orange. You know, continue on the horrendous news that Charlie Kirk has,” said Bolling.
“Well, my prayers are for Erika, for her children, for his family. This is beyond, beyond devastating, Eric. I’ve known Charlie, as I said, since he was a child, running around, coming to conservative events,” added a tearful Gina Loudon.
President Donald Trump posted about Kirk’s passing, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
Reactions expressing shock and sympathies for Kirk’s family came in from across the political spectrum, as did condemnations of political violence.
Kirk has been a leading figure in the MAGA movement and a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump since the beginning of his time in politics. He founded Turning Point USA in 2012 and would regularly host campus events where he would ask students to “prove him wrong” in civil debates. He was a popular figure online and a regular commentator at conservative events like the Conservative Political Action Conference and his own conferences, which drew GOP leaders of all stripes.
