Bill Clinton on Brown, Garner: People Worry Their Kids Are ‘Disposable’

Former President Bill Clinton publicly spoke today about recent national unrest over the cases of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Clinton said that the big issue at hand here is “when people think their lives and the lives of their children don’t matter, that they’re somehow disposable, just like a paper napkin.”

And so, he said, in order to make sure America lives up to its promise of freedom for all, “we have to make people feel that everybody matters again.”

Hillary Clinton also addressed these issues recently, talking about dealing with “hard truths about race and justice in America.”
