Bill Kristol ‘Annoyed’ at Fox, RNC for Debate Limits

Rightest Man in Politics Bill Kristol was peeved Wednesday morning at the Republican National Committee for limiting the number of GOP candidates in the initial debate.

“I’m annoyed at the RNC — and I think Fox is colluding for that first debate — at limiting the field,” Kristol said on Morning Joe. “Which one are they going to say who doesn’t deserve to be there?”

The 16 (so far) candidates are making corralling debates tricky. But Kristol pointed out that almost every candidate, from Rick Santorum to Carly Fiorina, had an argument for being included in the top half of candidates.

“I think they all deserve to be on the stage for the first two or three debates,” he said. “You have two debates, seven people each. You pick lots, the first seven go for the first hour-and-a-half, the second seven for an hour Nevada. Republicans would be interested. They wouldn’t turn off the TV halfway through.” (CNN has a third method.)
