Bill Kristol Shames Sen. Cornyn For ‘Grotesque’ and ‘Appalling’ Victory Lap After Kavanaugh Confirmation
MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace spoke to conservative commentator Bill Kristol earlier Monday, and they both agreed President Donald Trump‘s attitude as a sore winner has been infectious for the Republican Party.
Wallace panned Trump for the lack of graciousness he has shown since the 2016 election, then turned the conversation towards the GOP’s celebration of Brett Kavanaugh‘s confirmation to the Supreme Court. She specifically called out Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), who recently tweeted this picture apparently mocking the multiple allegations of Kavanaugh’s drunken sexual misconduct.

Wallace called the tweet “ugly” and “tacky,” and Kristol called it an “appalling” sign of “the Trumpification of the Republican Party.” He continued to call it a “grotesque” victory lap that ignores the serious issues surrounding Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
