Bridgegate or Benghazi: Can You Spot the Spin?

Since late April, when previously undisclosed email records pertaining to how the White House prepared former United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice to explain the Benghazi attacks to Americans were uncovered, cable news has been focused relentlessly either proving or debunking the appearance of scandal.

The usual suspects are taking to their corners, jabbing and weaving at the other side in an effort to either implicate or clear the White House of complicity in malfeasance.

In fact, the predictable positions that partisans in the media have adopted are pretty familiar. They closely mirror the talking points pundits adopted during the initial burst of enthusiasm that surrounded the discovery that members of Chris Christie’s administration had intentionally closed two lanes of the George Washington Bridge allegedly to exact revenge against a local Democratic mayor.

Can you pick out which talking points relate to Benghazi and which are about “Bridgegate”? The answers may surprise you.
