Brit Hume Lauds Biden Speech: ‘His Message Was Just Right’

Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume praised President Joe Biden for his Oval Office speech following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

On Sunday evening, Biden gave an address from the White House calling on Americans to unite and “resolve our differences at the ballot box” rather than with political violence.

Biden’s remarks come 24 hours after a shooter opened fire at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania striking the former president’s ear, while killing an attendee and injuring two others. The Secret Service eliminated the shooter soon after the firing started.

Hume reacted to the president’s address by telling the Fox News panel that “his message was just right.”

I thought the message was just right. Remember, he’s presides over the executive branch. The executive branch is responsible for the security of these campaigns. So this was one of the agencies over which he has authority. Whose failure, obvious failure, in this case to keep this assassination attempt from happening is under scrutiny. He needed to be out there. He needed to say something. As a leader of the executive branch, I think his message was just right. I think most Americans would look at it and say, absolutely, Mr. President, you’re right. A few stumbles he had may have been a further reminder of his frailty, but nonetheless, he did what he could, I thought.
