Charlotte Mayor Asks Clinton and Trump to Delay Their Visits

The mayor of Charlotte would prefer if both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump delay their planned visits to the town.

Clinton announced a visit to Charlotte this Sunday, and Mayor Jennifer Roberts said on CNN tonight that she’s heard Trump wants to visit too.

She said while they appreciate both candidates’ concerns, “at this point, we do have very stretched resources for security and they are working around the clock.”

She said that if there’s a way to delay those visits until “we get our city back to order,” that would be ideal.
