Chelsea Clinton to NBC: ‘I’m a Daughter, Not a Pundit’

Chelsea ClintonChelsea Clinton, who was once hired by NBC as a special correspondent to the tune of $600,000 a year, told the Today show that was “not a pundit,” just a daughter of two famous politicians.

NBC’s Savannah Guthrie asked Clinton about her mother Hillary Clinton’s less-than-stellar poll numbers, especially on issues like honesty and trustworthiness. “Why do you think that this? What’s not getting through in their minds?”

“Well Savannah, I’m not a pundit, I’m a daughter,” Clinton said. “And as I just said, I love and admire my mom. I know that she’s talking about issues that are important to families across our country.”

“I believe that is starting to resonate,” she said. “I believe as more and more Americans hear from her, they’ll come to know why I’m so proud to be my mother’s daughter, and even more why I’m so proud my mother is my daughter’s grandmother.”
