Christie Scolds Rubio: ‘Immature’ for Him to Make Jokes About the Blizzard

christieChris Christie returned from the campaign trail to deal with the blizzard hitting New Jersey yesterday. The snowstorm hit the entire East Coast, including Washington D.C., which gave way to some jokes by Marco Rubio.

At a New Hampshire town hall yesterday, TheBlaze reported, Rubio joked, “In Washington right now, they are being buried in this snow blizzard. Which means that federal agencies were not able to work all day yesterday at issuing new regulations.”

He also wisecracked about how President Obama‘s “executive order pen has frozen.”

CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Christie about it this morning, and Christie was actually not happy about it.

“14 people died across the country,” he said, “and that shows a real immaturity from Senator Rubio to be joking as families were freezing in the cold, losing power, and some of them losing their loved ones.”

Christie said that Rubio has never had to be accountable for anything, snarking that the Senate “sounds like school to me.”
