CNN Anchor Kate Bolduan Challenges Guest For Calling Stephen Miller ‘A White Nationalist’

A cable news guest attempted to correctly label White House adviser Stephen Miller “a white nationalist,” only to have CNN anchor Kate Bolduan defend Miller’s reputation in the name of “civility.”

“This is an administration that has threatened our local community, that want to enforce the laws they see fit for not enforcing immigration law,” said CNN guest David Leopold, who works as an immigration lawyer. “I have no doubt that this administration, Donald Trump, who is advised by a white nationalist, Stephen Miller in the White House.”

At this point, Bolduan jumped in to cut off Leopold, who was on her show to defend migrants’ due process rights, and stand up for Miller.

“I don’t know if you want to go as far as — I mean, let’s not — I just did an entire segment about civility here. I don’t know if you want to call Stephen Miller a white nationalist,” Bolduan said.

Leopold responded by saying that his “white nationalist” comment was “not an uncivil thing,” and is instead just “a fact.”

That live correction from the CNN host marked the second time during the interview that Bolduan challenged Leopold on his criticisms of the Trump administration.

Leopold had also mentioned Trump’s attempted Muslim ban, but Bolduan interjected him to say, “They say that’s not what the policy ended up being in the 3.0 version of it.”

As for Miller, the White House adviser has ties to leading white supremacists like Richard Spencer and Peter Brimelow and is the instigator behind the White House’s migrant family separation policy that resulted in Hispanic kids being caged — but God forbid any cable news guest accurately reflect his views for once.
