CNN Poll: Most Voters Hate Both the Likely Nominees
Following reports Wednesday morning of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton‘s triumphs in their respective primaries, CNN exhumed a poll from three weeks ago, indicating that most Americans held unfavorable views of the two likely nominees.
Citing a CNN/ORC poll from February 24-27, host Carol Costello said: “It appears that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will win the nomination for their respective parties. And for the first time in history, that means one of two candidates who many voters don’t like or trust may become President of the United States.”
Within their own parties, Trump and Clinton have 32% and 19% unfavorable ratings respectively — but among all Americans, 60% view Trump unfavorably and 55% view Clinton unfavorably.
