Colbert Launches His Own ‘Angry Echo Chamber’ to Compete with Sarah Palin Channel

Stephen Colbert might be a little jealous of Sarah Palin. On Tuesday night, the Comedy Central host reported on Palin’s new web-based subscription video channel before announcing his own competing operation, Stephen Colbert’s “Angry Echo Chamber.”

“It’s 24/7 Palin-tainment streamed right to your phone!” Colbert said. Sure, at $9.95 per month, it costs more than Netflix, he explained, “but it’s just as good as House of Cards, with just as many threatening monologues into camera.”

Echoing the FAQ section of Palin’s new site, Colbert said, “It’s a safe space where like-minded folks can hear things they already agree with from someone whose opinion they already know.”

With that sentiment in mind, Colbert said he was undercutting Palin with his $9.94 per month “Angry Echo Chamber,” a “community for people just like you, if you have a valid credit card.”

Meanwhile, Colbert pointed out to his audience that while Palin’s new site resides at sarahpalinchannel.com, he took it upon himself to purchase thesarahpalinchannel.com, where you can view some different Palin-themed content.
