Daily Show’s Trevor Noah Challenges CNN to Be Less ‘Joke-Worthy’
Cable news in general and CNN in particular were favorite targets of former Daily Show host Jon Stewart. So, naturally, CNN media reporter Brian Stelter wanted to know what new host Trevor Noah’s relationship with cable news is like before he makes his big debut tonight at 11 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.
When Stelter asked Noah how often he would be targeting CNN in the new iteration of the show, Stelter received a question in response: “How many things are you going to be doing that you consider joke-worthy?”

At a press event to promote the show last week, Noah stressed that he will not be going after Fox News with as much contempt as Stewart did, especially towards the end of his run.
“I don’t have targets yet, which I think is the right way to approach it,” he said. “I didn’t have Fox News in most places in the world where I was traveling or living. These are new people to me. I get to discover the person I will grow to loathe, to hate, and they may not be on Fox News.”
