Dershowitz on Baltimore: ‘Don’t Use the Criminal Justice System to Solve Racial Problems’

dershowitzAlan Dershowitz told Megyn Kelly tonight that he has a serious problem with how the entire Freddie Gray case has been handled in Baltimore.

He said that Marilyn Mosby clearly overcharged just to “stop the mob,” emphatically stating, “You don’t use the criminal justice system to solve racial problems.”

Dershowitz called out #BlackLivesMatter in particular for “endangering the fairness of our legal system, ’cause they’re rooting for outcomes based on race.”

He said that viewing convictions “without regard to the evidence” is dangerous because America is still supposed to be all about innocent till proven guilty.

“Racial problems,” he said, shouldn’t be able “to distort our criminal justice system.”
