Breaking: No further indictments.
A senior U.S. law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the matter says that the Special Counsel’s Office has concluded their investigation by transmittal of their report, as federal regulations mandate. @Tom_Winter reports— Ken Dilanian (@KenDilanianNBC) March 22, 2019
CNN justice reporter Laura Jarrett broke down the news on The Situation Room earlier tonight, while adding this:
“There have certainly been spinoffs, so to speak, from much of Mueller’s work. We’ve seen him already farming out certain cases to the D.C. US Attorney’s office, also the Eastern District of Virginia and, of course, the Southern District of New York which is handling the Michael Cohen investigation. So we have seen outputs from his investigation, but we are not going to receive any further recommendations from Mueller about the core work of his mandate, which was Russian interference in the election, obstruction of justice. All of those issues were really central to what he was put here to do. No further indictments on that front.”
