Don Lemon: ‘Does President Trump Have an Obama Obsession?’

As he opened his show tonight, CNN’s Don Lemon asked, “Does President Trump have an Obama obsession?”

He noted how with the big news in just the past few days about health care subsidies and the Iran deal, Trump is “making it his mission to undo every last bit of the Obama legacy.”

And as Anderson Cooper wondered just hours before, Lemon wondered if this is more about Trump fulfilling campaign promises of if it’s “all about” Barack Obama.

Lemon and his panel discussed Trump’s actions a bit later, with David Gergen saying this is all clearly “more about blowing the former president’s legacy than anybody wants to admit.”

Gergen said anything with Obama’s name on it automatically “becomes a target” for Trump.
