‘Don’t Answer That!’ Epstein Victims Scold Michael Tracey for Asking About Recanted Allegations Against Alan Dershowitz

Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein scolded independent journalist Michael Tracey for asking about the late Virginia Giuffre recanted allegations against attorney Alan Dershowitz, shouting down the question and refusing to answer.

The clash with Tracey came during a press conference hosted by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA) in Washington D.C. held with several victims who recounted their experiences as the lawmakers prepare to mount a rare bipartisan push to compel the Justice Department to release Epstein files.

After survivors presented their testimonies to the gathered press, victims’ rights lawyer Brad Edwards took questions from the press when Tracey rounded on the attorney, who formerly represented Giuffre.

His question related to a 2020 Giuffre claim that Epstein trafficked her to Dershowitz, one that she withdrew in 2022, admitting she “may have made a mistake” in identifying him as an abuser. Dershowitz denied the allegations.

“So you represented Virginia [nee] Roberts for years,” Tracey began. “She eventually had to recant the allegations that she made against Alan Dershowitz. She alleged that –”

Edwards turned to the survivors on stage, who immediately demanded they move on: “All right, next question. Next question. Thank you.”

“Who’s next?” Edwards said.

As Tracey continued to bombard the stage with questions, a survivor pointed at him: “We’re not answering your question. Anybody else?”

As journalists tried to ask other questions, Tracey could be heard complaining loudly off camera.

After Edwards addressed a further question, Khanna took to the stage to take aim at Tracey.

“Can I just say one thing,” the Democrat said. “You know, to your question about the [Dershowitz] allegations, there’s a simple answer – release the files! Let the American public decide! Instead of harassing – I gave you your say!”

Tracey began to speak off camera again as Khanna listened.

“You’re hired by Dershowitz!” one supporter in the crowd called out.

“You’ve been heard, you’ve been heard,” Khanna replied to Tracey, adding, “And even Alan Dershowitz says release the files. Release the files, that is the answer, and that’s what we’re here for.”

Those on the stage cheered and applauded.

“You gotta go!” one survivor called out. “Go now!”

Moments later, Tracey complained via X that he’d been thrown out of the presser for asking “the only legitimate question.”

Throughout his time standing in the crowd, he tweeted that the survivors were “hucksters” and interested only in money.
