Ed Schultz: If Police Are ‘Target,’ Do They Need to Be There During Ferguson Protests?
After asking yesterday if Ferguson police should be disarmed, MSNBC’s Ed Schultz followed up today by asking if, due to the shooting of two cops in Ferguson today, if the police should be at Ferguson protests to begin with.
Schultz said, “This may be an off-the-wall question, but do the police need to be there?”
He referenced the shooting and continued, “If they’re a target, do the police need to be there while these peaceful protests are taking place.”
MSNBC reporter Trymaine Lee said he “wouldn’t take that kind of leap,” pointing out that a shooter amongst the protesters is troubling to protesters as well.
