Eliot Spitzer, Bill Maher, and Seth MacFarlane Walk Into A Bar…And Have A Civilized Discussion

People accuse Bill Maher of being inflammatory just for ratings sake, but you have to hand it to him: last night’s panel was a veritable Who’s Who of polarizing guests. You got Eliot Spitzer talking with the Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, whose recent Downs Syndrome joke at the expense of Sarah Palin was heard round the world, you have Norah O’Donnell from MSNBC….you’d expect the room to practically explode just from the presence of all these liberals hanging out with with Maher. And yet there seems to be an absent of political-baiting.
How is that possible? Except of course, for MacFarlane’s comment that any Republican who wants to filibusterer should have to read aloud from Twilight, and even that was met by some genuine chortles from Maher. Is it possible? Can we all just…get along?
