Emory Student: College Prez Legitimized Complaints About ‘Triggering’ Trump Chalkings
A student at Emory University spoke with Bill O’Reilly tonight about how easily the college president “legitimized” complaints about “triggering” Donald Trump chalkings.
Yes, after someone wrote “Trump 2016” in chalk around campus, students complained that they didn’t feel safe, even saying the mere writing of Trump’s name is a hurtful action.
The administration said it would be looking into the matter and searching security footage to find the student responsible. O’Reilly was alarmed by that tonight, telling student Josh Goodman he’s a little shocked to hear that.
Goodman said students called this a “violent action,” no one had any problems with pro-Bernie Sanders or pro-#BlackLivesMatter chalkings. And he said when students protested the administration, they were “loud” and “disruptive.”
“President [James Wagner],” Goodman said, “I think he legitimized their claims, I was pretty disappointed.”
Goodman told O’Reilly he hoped President Wagner would “stand for First Amendment rights” for people to support
