Ex-CBS News Reporter Lara Logan Joins Sinclair

Former CBS News reporter Lara Logan is joining Sinclair.
Logan recently made waves with a February interview saying the media is mostly liberal and criticizing the overall coverage of President Donald Trump. Since then she has made a number of appearances on Fox News. This past Sunday she appeared with Mark Levin and praised Ted Koppel‘s criticisms of anti-Trump media bias.
Logan now has a new job, though it’s not at Fox News. Per The Hollywood Reporter:
She has now found a fit with Sinclair Broadcast Group, the conservative media conglomerate that is hiring her for a three-month stint as a special correspondent focusing on the U.S.-Mexico border.
“There’s no interference whatsoever,” Logan told THR. “The mandate is to just go down there and come back with great stories. That’s it. … I never expected that at this point in my career, after all these years, I would have that kind of freedom.”
Logan also told THR she expects to be “targeted” for the move, including by Media Matters––which had reported critically on the 2013 Benghazi 60 Minutes piece that Logan ended up apologizing for––because “Media Matters for America hates them more than Fox News.”
“Sinclair is not the devil that Media Matters and the propaganda makes it out to be,” she added.
Logan is just the latest hire from Sinclair, which recently brought on former Fox News host Eric Bolling.
