Ex-CIA Head: Obama ‘Looks Scared’ to Call Terrorists Islamic
Ex-CIA Director James Woolsey thinks President Obama just “looks scared” to refer to terrorists like ISIS as Islamic, but the dispute over semantics would at least be irrelevant if he was taking more concrete action. On CNN last night, Don Lemon asked Woolsey if it’s really that significant for Obama to identify “radical Islam” as a problem.
Woolsey called Obama the “world champion of political correctness” who’s not really doing enough to actually fight ISIS. Because, he admitted, it wouldn’t matter what he calls it if he “let people know you can fight and you can fight effectively.” But he cited examples like ISIS, Russia, and Iran to say he doesn’t have that kind of flexibility.”
“He looks scared,” Woolsey said, “he looks as if he’s afraid of using the adjective ‘Islamic’ to describe the terrorists.”
