Ex-GOP Governor: ‘I Call on Hillary Clinton to Withdraw from the Race’

Does the name Jim Gilmore ring any bells to you? No?

Well, he’s the former Republican governor of Virginia who ran for president in 2008, and literally the first line of his ’08 campaign’s Wikipedia entry is “The presidential campaign of James Gilmore was notable as much for its shortness as its inimitable episodes.”

Well, on MSNBC today, Gilmore told Luke Russert, “I call on Hillary Clinton to withdraw from the race.” Why? Because of issues of trust and lack of integrity surrounding Clinton Foundation money.

Gilmore argued that Clinton had too many conflicts of interest to be Secretary of State in the first place, brought up her deleted emails, and said she will continue to keep down the people’s confidence in their elected leaders (while keeping up the cynicism).

When Russert brought up issues of money on the Republican side, vis-a-vis the Koch brothers, Gilmore said, “The Koch brothers are not supporting Hillary Clinton.”
