Fox News Chyron Mocks CNN, MSNBC For Being ‘Hysterical Over Use of Tear Gas Against Migrants’
A Fox News chyron aired during Hannity tonight read “CNN & MSNBC hysterical over use of tear gas against migrants,” after some personalities and reporters at the two competing cable news outlets voiced outrage over border patrol’s crowd dispersing methods.
“The biased press can no longer ignore the serious situation [at the border] or pretend it is some grand conspiracy theory cooked up by the GOP to get votes in the midterms,” Hannity said tonight, just before airing clips of cable news commentary with the “hysterical” chyron attached. “Instead, the media’s echo chamber is now spinning out of control over the use of non-lethal tear gas.”
The host then justified the use of tear gas against migrants, including on women and small children, since it was necessary “to disperse a massive group of migrants that attempted to break all of our laws, rush the border, and many assaulting our own border patrol with rocks and bottles and other projectiles.”
The Fox News host then played a compilation of CNN and MSNBC personalities, including Chris Cuomo, Erin Burnett, Ana Navarro, and Mike Lupica, criticizing the use of tear gas against the migrants.
“Your mainstream media doing anything and everything to vilify President Trump and his administration over the crisis at our southern border,” he remarked.
“This shows without any shadow of a doubt, the destroy trump press, and that’s who they are, are willing to do and say anything and everything to damage the administration,” Hannity added. “This has been two years and on going. Many on the left try to paint the Trump Administration as monsters.”
