Fox News Denies Report That Ryan Zinke Has Spoken to Network About Joining as Contributor

Fox News denied a report that Ryan Zinke, the Interior Secretary, has reached out to people at the network to inquire about working there as a contributor.
“No one at FOX News has spoken to Zinke about a contributor role,” a Fox News spokesperson told Mediaite.
Politico reported on Thursday that Zinke “has been exploring potential roles with Fox News,” as well as other private sector gigs “amid growing signs that he will leave President Donald Trump‘s Cabinet as he faces investigations into his ethics.”
Rumors about Zinke’s fate in the Trump administration have circulated following the midterm elections, particularly in light of the ouster of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who resigned at Trump’s request on Wednesday.
As Politico noted, Trump told reporters on Wednesday that he’s going to “look at” Zinke’s future in his cabinet.
“I think he’s doing an excellent job, but we will take a look at that, and we’ll probably have an idea on that in about a week,” Trump said.
