Fox News’ Judge Napolitano on Dem Judiciary Probe: ‘Almost Literally a Witch Hunt’

Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano said today that the broad House Judiciary probe into President Donald Trump is about Democrats “looking for anything they can find” on the president.

Charles Payne, filling in for Neil Cavuto, said it does feel like “they’re going down any particular rabbit hole and searching for anything in a man’s past that perhaps had nothing to do with the job he’s in right now.”

Napolitano said he’s right, but noted that the committee has broad investigatory powers and “the president can do very little about this.”

“It’s not specific what Jerry Nadler is looking for, and the president is right,” he continued. “This is almost literally a witch hunt. They’re looking for anything they can find… What do they need his tax returns for? To embarrass him, to humiliate him, to taunt him, to drive him crazy, because that’s what they think their base wants them to do.”

Payne noted how Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) has broached the issue of impeachment already, though Napolitano noted how Nadler and other Democrats are being more careful about that issue.
