Fox News’ Kennedy Suggests Trump Is Too Loyal for His Own Good While Trashing ‘Crumbling’ Michael Cohen

Fox News’ Lisa Kennedy Montgomery suggested that former President Donald Trump might be too loyal for his own good during an appearance on America’s Newsroom Monday.

After Cohen acknowledged that he had stolen from the Trump Organization while working for Trump in court on Monday, Kennedy weighed in on the state of the case against the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

“Well, that’s that’s only one of the things that we know about that has come to life under this grueling cross-examination, which is continuing as we speak in that courthouse,” began Kennedy. “But, you know, I’m with Paul. I’m one of these people looking at this going, what exactly is illegal here? What is the crime? And then people go, ‘he paid a porn star’. It’s like, yeah, but what’s the crime?”

She continued:

And, you know, all the we’re seeing from this is Donald Trump may be a bad judge of character. So when someone expresses a deep loyalty to him, he gives that back to them in return and sometimes doesn’t pay attention to the very red flags, as red as that finch of that tech company that Michael Cohen apparently stole money from. But you have bad actors who are the star witnesses, who have not delivered, who, you know, they are really crumbling under cross-examination. And at the end of the day, you know, we’re left as voters going, but why? How is this making my life better? How is targeting him with lawfare, doing anything to calm inflation and make my life better or change my vote? It has had the opposite effect for a lot of people.

Notably, Trump — who has had falling outs with numerous former members of his own administration — egged on the mob he sent to the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021 even as it threatened the wellbeing of his then-vice president, Mike Pence.

“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!” tweeted Trump shortly before Pence was evacuated from Senate chamber.
