Fox News Segment Gets Heated After Contributor Accuses Trump of Anti-Semitism
A Fox News segment about President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump got spicy when contributor Marie Harf accused Trump of making anti-Semitic comments, prompting anchor Harris Faulkner to end the conversation and cut to commercial.
The conversation took place minutes after Trump was caught on camera saying that “any Jewish person that votes for a Democrat or votes for Biden should have their head examined” — a quote that Harf repeated. Faulkner’s other panelist, T.W. Shannon, immediately protested at the mention of it and then claimed Harf was just trying to “pivot away” from talking about Biden and the economy.
When Faulkner got Trump’s full quote in front of her, she attempted to provide some context. But Harf reiterated what Trump had just said minutes before, which caused Shannon to protest again and accuse her of lying:
Harf: Donald Trump has questioned the loyalty, he has repeatedly questioned the loyalty of Jewish Americans. He has said anti-Semitic and offensive things about how Jewish Americans vote.
Shannon: Oh my gosh! When?
Harf: Over and over again!
Shannon: Name one time that Donald Trump has been anti-Semitic! That is a lie!
Harf: He just did it five minutes ago! Literally!
Faulkner: Anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-all of it. All of it is what we are covering here. And we have to get our facts right. I didn’t hear what you’re talking about, Maria. But what I did hear him do is call Biden out for not having clear policy or successful policy with Israel. I’ll bring you back another day. Thank you. Outnumbered after the break.
