Fox’s Bolling Questions Airstrikes Timing: Obama Playing Midterm Politics?

Fox News’ Eric Bolling questioned the timing of Syria airstrikes on The Five today. He suggested that this might be, in part, President Obama playing midterm politics and trying to bolster his falling numbers.

Ed Henry was talking about Congress’ reluctance to “deal with this hot potato” when Bolling brought up the political question, and asked if Obama acted with the midterms in mind.

He argued, “If he waits six weeks since we’ve known ISIS has got Americans, started beheading Americans… that’s six weeks closer to the November election. As you know, as we all know, when we’re at war, presidential ratings go up.”

Henry noted reports from the White House and Pentagon that the U.S. acted to stop an “imminent” attack by the Khorasan group.
