Fox’s Gretchen Carlson: Cure for Cancer ‘Won’t Be Covered’ Under Obamacare

Tuesday on The Real Story, Fox’s Gretchen Carlson invited fellow host Stuart Varney to help explain how some insurance companies appear to be keeping costs down under the Affordable Care Act by neglecting to cover certain medications for patients. “You can keep your drugs if you like them, or maybe not,” Carlson said.
Varney admonished insurers “skimping” on benefits and warned that people who buy insurance through the federal exchanges would likely find it difficult to determine which medicines are covered. “You don’t know what you’re getting,” he said.
But for Carlson, the “scariest” part of this whole situation is that new medicines won’t be covered by any plans right way. “So let’s say they come up with a cure for cancer,” she said, “it’s not going to be covered, ostensibly.”
