Fox’s Gutfeld Says Charlie Kirk ‘Would Want’ Kimmel Back On The Air

Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld argued conservative activist Charlie Kirk “would want” Jimmy Kimmel back on the air despite the comments that landed the late night comedian on indefinite suspension.

On Friday’s Gutfeld!, Gutfeld said he agreed with Kimmel being back on the air at least to explain his comments, though the Fox News host ripped into media figures and Kimmel defenders like Brian Stelter and Chris Hayes as hypocrites.

“For the longest time, I’ve been imploring people to share the risk, defend people in trouble who are outgunned by the media. The point being, even though you incur risk defending them, it’s being shared, and that’s how you beat the woke. Well, these a**hats never did that,” Gutfeld said after showing images of Stelter, Kimmel, and Hayes. “They sided with the mob at every turn, and they even came after us over and over. And now they desperately fake a heroic stance, swarming around a celebrity already designated by their industry as a defender of democracy, an anti-Trump icon.”

Gutfeld argued that Kirk would want Kimmel back on the air because the conservative activist always argued for more speech and debate.

Gutfeld said:

I do think Jimmy should be back on the air, at least to explain himself, even though he and all the other pieces of s**t spent years putting targets on our backs. But maybe that’s what Charlie Kirk would want. I mean, he did platform his haters. There’s probably no stronger position in the world and it cost him his life, but it changed the world. You can feel it. The morons I mentioned no longer control the narratives. Their power to shape vast audiences is gone. Millions of people are now speaking the truth across the country and the fraudsters are dwindling, which means they can no longer push hoaxes like Joe Biden had a working brain or that Kamala [Harris] had a work liver. You know, just a few years ago, that wasn’t possible. You would have no idea there were others out there like you or me who thought these guys were full of s**t. But today, the emperor that was once the media has no clothes. And I mean that metaphorically. No one wants to see these a**holes naked.

Kimmel’s show was indefinitely suspended by ABC after the comedian made comments related to Kirk’s death and the suspected shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,” Kimmel said on his show.

According to Utah officials, Robinson was “indoctrinated” with far-left “ideology” in the years leading up to Kirk’s murder. ABC pulled Kimmel’s show following pressure from both local affiliates and FCC Chair Brendan Carr, who publicly took issue with the Kimmel comment just hours before the suspension.

“Frankly, when you see stuff like this, I mean look, we can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Carr said. “These companies can find ways to change conduct and take action, frankly, on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”
