Fox’s Leland Vittert Chastises Rep. Cummings for Cutting Interview Short

Fox News reporter Leland Vittert just can’t catch a break. First, he failed to secure an interview with Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) as the Baltimore curfew was taking effect Wednesday night. Then, earlier today, he tried to question Al Sharpton and was rebuffed, getting physically pushed back by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s security detail.
Thursday night, Vittert was back out on the street and at it again, attempting an impromptu interview with Rep. Cummings just after the 10 p.m. curfew as the tired-looking congressman was attempting to get in his car and go home. Things went fine at first, with Cummings telling Vittert the message he was trying to impart to protesters. But then Sean Hannity started speaking to Vittert over Cummings’ answers and it appeared the congressman had had enough.
“We can’t ask you any questions?” Bitterroot asked after he had already received several answers. “Congressman, you just won’t talk to us?”
“Obviously, Sean, the congressman doesn’t have any interest in answering any more of our questions, whatever they may be,” Vittert told Hannity. Either that or he was just ready to go home.
