Geraldo Rivera Says Trump Deserves Nobel Peace Prize ‘Even If He’s Not Totally Successful’ at Ending Any Wars: ‘Just the Effort Is So, You Know…’

Geraldo Rivera argued on Tuesday that it would be tough for “anyone to deny” President Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize, even if he’s not totally successful” at ending the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.

During an interview with Rivera on Newsmax’s Finnerty, host Rob Finnerty asked, “If he does end this war [in Ukraine], Geraldo, can they deny him the Nobel Peace Prize?”

“Hell no,” replied Rivera. “Hell no. I think that this and/or Gaza would put him on the fast track, and anyone to deny that, I think, would really be putting their partisan politics in front of their logic because the conflicts have caused such misery, and if you have a president of the United States trying so hard to, you know, for peace, even if he’s not totally successful, just the effort is so, you know, it’s so overt, it’s so public, it’s so aggressive. You know, he deserves recognition at least for that.”

Last month, Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

“President Trump has brokered, on average, about one peace deal or ceasefire per month during his six months in office,” claimed White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. “It’s well past time that President Trump was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.”
