Goodfellas Actor Sues The Simpsons for $250 Million

Goodfellas actor Frank Sivero is suing The Simpsons for $250 million, claiming the show stole his likeness for the mobster character Louie.

Sivero alleges the bit character, who accompanies Legs on Fat Tony’s peregrinations, was “strongly evocative of” his Frankie Carbone character in the famous gangster movie. Sivero doesn’t think it’s an accident, either: he lived in the same apartment complex as several Simpsons writers back in the day (#thisothertown).

Attorneys for the show have not commented, though according the Simpsons wiki voice actor Dan Castellaneta (Homer) said he based Louie’s voice off Joe Pesci.

Like all events in this world, this one was foretold by the Simpsons. Whenever a character comes close to appropriating copyrighted material, an attorney appears to issue a cease and desist order on behalf of an actor’s estate.
