Greg Gutfeld Clashes With Co-Hosts Over Marijuana: ‘So Much Misinformation Going On…’
On 4/20, the hosts of Fox News’ The Five clashed over marijuana legalization.
Guest co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy expressed her opposition to the idea of “normalizing pot.”
As the panel discussed the issue, Greg Gutfeld remarked, “”There’s so much misinformation going on at this table. I apologize to anybody who’s ever read up on this drug for this ignorance.”
Campos-Duffy shot back that he might “feel differently” when he has kids.
Gutfeld didn’t quite buy that excuse, and he encouraged his co-hosts to “look at the facts and look at history” on the prohibition issue.
“Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it should be illegal,” he argued.
Campos-Duffy asked if he really doesn’t believe marijuana is a gateway drug. Gutfeld said there’s no evidence of that, adding that “making something taboo has never worked among young people.”
Campos-Duffy brought up conversations with drug rehab counselors and law enforcement officers “who have told me and my husband do not legalize it, it’s a gateway drug.”
“That’s not a study,” Gutfeld responded. “That’s anecdotal.”
