Hayes: Murdoch Is Dr. Frankenstein Fighting Fox News ‘Monster’ on Immigration

Rupert Murdoch, the corporate owner of Fox News, wrote an op-ed yesterday pushing for immigration reform, an issue plenty of people on Fox News are strongly opposed to. And MSNBC’s Chris Hayes couldn’t help but find it a little amusing that Murdoch is now Dr. Frankenstein trying to fight back against the monster he helped create.

And it’s not just that conservatives oppose immigration reform, it’s that, specifically, Republicans who trust Fox News are more likely to oppose immigration reform. And so, Hayes added, “if the comprehensive reform bill fails to move forward, it will be, in large part, thanks to Fox.”

Which makes Murdoch at very public odds with his own “Fox empire” and the “right-wing media monster he helped create.”
