Hillary: ‘I Look Forward to Working with’ Sanders on Party Platform

This morning Hillary Clinton addressed lingering questions about Bernie Sanders continuing to stay in the Democratic race and her potentially working together with her primary rival.

Jake Tapper brought up how Sanders seems to be shifting his goal from winning the Democratic nomination to pushing for a more progressive party platform. Clinton said, “I certainly look forward to working with Senator Sanders in the lead-up to the convention.”

She affirmed she wants a strong progressive platform and welcomes the “passion and commitment” of his supporters.

As for Sanders continuing to stay in the race, Clinton reflected on her own 2008 race and said, “There comes a time when you have to look at the reality.”
