House Democrat Zings Fox’s Jesse Watters: ‘What Do You Want Us To Do, Storm the Capitol?’

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) hit Fox News anchor Jesse Watters with a zinger on Friday when the latter poked fun at Democrats singing songs to protest Elon Musk.

Moskowitz asked Watters if he would prefer for Democrats to riot at the U.S. Capitol instead, prompting laughter from the host.

The Florida Democrat joined Jesse Watters Primetime to discuss ongoing efforts by President Donald Trump and Musk’s DOGE to slash the size and scope of the federal government.

Moskowitz, who is on the DOGE subcommittee, said he believed in cutting spending, but it needed to be done with congressional oversight.

“There’s a right way to do it. There’s a constitutional way to do it, and a lot of this is going to have to come to Congress anyway. Go look at the debt clock. Right. The debt clock is still running up. So while yes, find the fraud, find the waste, find the abuse. In order to solve America’s debt crisis, you’re going to have to do that in Congress. It’s not going to happen in the executive branch.”

Watters asked the congressman why Democrats could not let attorneys “battle it out” in court before he referenced viral videos of some of them singing protest songs. The clips have been fodder for conservatives portraying the left as out of touch on spending.

“But why do you guys go out there and sing songs and act crazy and look like you’re pro waste, fraud, and abuse?” Watters asked.

Moskowitz replied, “Well, look, what do you want us to do, storm the capitol? I mean, that’s already been done.”

Watters laughed and fired back, “That’s our job. That’s our job. Leave that to us, Moskowitz.”
