deanFormer DNC chair and current Clinton surrogate Howard Dean appeared on Morning Joe and sounded befuddled at “the media’s” conception that they had a right to Hillary Clinton’s emails.

“It is true the media really wants to see everything, and they have this fundamental belief they should see everything,” Dean said. “I think Hillary decided they probably shouldn’t. That’s her prerogative.”

“It’s her prerogative until she’s violated the law,” New York Times’ Jeremy Peters objected. “That’s the issue here, is the extent to which she and her people have gone to hide things in violation of State Department protocol and the law. That is not her prerogative.”
