Howard Kurtz Defends Kellyanne Conway Over CNN Clash: Why Are Her Husband’s Tweets Her Problem?

Fox News’ Howard Kurtz took a moment during this morning’s MediaBuzz to defend Kellyanne Conway following a clash on CNN this morning.

CNN’s Dana Bash brought up tweets critical of Trump sent out by Conway’s husband. The White House counselor took offense at the question, said it’s “interesting” CNN would “go there,” and told Bash it was clearly “meant to harass and embarrass.”

Bash said she intended no such thing and raised it because of how odd it is that the husband of a high-profile White House official would be so publicly critical of the President.

Kurtz played part of the interview and said it was “questionable for the White House counselor to be asked about tweets by George Conway.”

“It’s good for gossip, sure,” Kurtz said, “but how is that Kellyanne’s problem? Aren’t spouses allowed to have different political views?”
