‘If This Isn’t Fireable, Nothing Is!’ Brian Kilmeade Goes Off on Biden and Lloyd Austin Over Lack of Transparency
Brian Kilmeade held back nothing as he ripped into the Biden administration’s “total dysfunction” surrounding Lloyd Austin’s lack of transparency regarding his cancer surgery.
Fox & Friends spoke on Wednesday about the White House ordering a protocol review after Austin’s failure to disclose his medical status while he was undergoing surgery. The Pentagon has clarified that Austin was secretly hospitalized due to complications after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, but the revelation comes amid ongoing scrutiny for why Austin’s hospitalization wasn’t disclosed to President Joe Biden or to the public.
Ainsley Earhardt was sympathetic to Austin’s cancer diagnosis, but “He should have told someone,” and she and Steve Doocy both questioned the description of the defense secretary’s surgery as an elective procedure. As Doocy raised questions over the Biden White House’s commitment to transparency, Kilmeade tore apart the communication breakdown while demanding Austin’s firing for going AWOL.
They’re not really covering for him because its impossible to cover for him. What does it say about the president of the United States with the Middle East about to explode like we haven’t seen since the 1970s that he could not want to talk to his secretary of defense? The secretary of state not having to talk to the secretary of defense? With the Houthi rebels targeting our ships with the decision to blow up three boats the week before he evidently decided on elective surgery, which is like saying a C-section is elective surgery. Sooner or later, the baby has to come out, unless he wants to slowly wither from prostate cancer. So I don’t buy anything that its elective surgery.
What kind of an administration has to communicate so little that you could let this slip by for two weeks in the middle of multiple hot wars? In case of a nuclear attack, you have 15 minutes to make a decision to answer back. We got Iran with nuclear weapons it seems, or on the cusp. We know that the biggest increase of nuclear weapons in the world is maybe our number one enemy. China! A hot war with Russia and Ukraine! Hypersonic missiles raining in to Kyiv, and the secretary of defense doesn’t tell his chief of staff or his deputy he is out for 10 days?
If this isn’t fireable, nothing is, and nothing else tells you about the dysfunction of a White House, politics aside, than this week. This is your job interview and you are failing, Mr. President, and Mr. Secretary of Defense as a general. You have failed your military training. You should be fired and you should resign as soon as you get out of your hospital bed.
Officials have said that Biden does not plan to fire Austin.
