‘I’m Glad He Took a Beating for the Rest of the City’: Jesse Watters Says Trump Had To Send National Guard to D.C. After ‘Big Balls’ Beatdown
Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed that President Donald Trump had no choice but to send the National Guard to Washington, D.C. after a “Department of Government Efficiency” employee got beaten up.
Two weeks ago, Edward Coristine, also known as “Big Balls,” was allegedly jumped and robbed by about 10 teenagers in the nation’s capital. Police arrested two 15-year-olds in connection with the incident.
“The officers immediately exited their vehicle, and the juveniles began fleeing on foot,” police stated, adding that Coristine’s phone was stolen. Less than a week later, Trump deployed the National Guard to D.C., citing high violent crime rates, which are actually at a 30-year low in the district.
On Monday’s Jesse Watters Primetime, the host welcomed fellow Fox News host Will Cain to the program and asked, “Did you even know how bad D.C. was? I always knew certain neighborhoods were bad. And you see the reports and stuff, but you hear about people saying, ‘I can go out to dinner now.’ I mean, that’s just crazy to me, in the nation’s capital.”
“Honestly, Jesse, I don’t spend a lot of time in Washington, D.C.,” Cain responded. “So, I had to take most people’s anecdotal evidence of this, and it’s stunning how many people talk would how bad it is, whether it’s a carjacking or a fight taking place in front of your house, and you’re seeing this evidenced by the fact that as you pointed out, so many people are happy to see President Trump take over Washington, D.C., and make it feel safe.”
Watters then suggested that the beating taken by “Big Balls” was necessary to save Washington, D.C.
“When Big Balls went down, that’s when Trump had to call it,” he said. “If Big Balls isn’t safe, no one’s safe. And I’m glad he took a beating for the rest of the city, and he’s back up on his feet. So, Big Balls, we love you.”
