Israeli Man Tearfully Tells CNN How He Saw Hamas Kidnap His Daughter on Video: ‘You Don’t Want to Believe It’
CNN’s Becky Anderson had a heartbreaking interview with an Israeli man whose daughter was taken hostage by Hamas at a music festival near the Gaza border.
The Tribe of Nova music festival came under attack by Hamas militants over the weekend as the terrorist group carried out the coordinated attack that left hundreds of people dead in Israel. The Israel Defence Forces are launching counteroffensives against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, though they are also trying to locate the women, children, and elderly Israelis that Hamas has kidnaped.
As news broke that at least 260 people were killed at the festival, videos from the scene have emerged online as families frantically search for their loved ones. In one widely circulated clip, CNN identified 25-year-old Noa Argamani and her boyfriend, Avinatan Or, being abducted by Hamas militants.
Anderson spoke with Argamani’s father, Yaakov, who was in tears and anguish as he recalled seeing the video of his daughter’s kidnapping.
“You don’t want to believe it, even though you can clearly see it’s your daughter,” he said. “I’m so sad at this moment. She is my only daughter.”
Yaakov and others told CNN that they want the abduction videos to be shown in hopes it will lead to the safe return of their missing relatives. The segment concluded with Yaakov imploring for Noa’s return.
“She is a very special kid, so loving, so giving. I miss her so much,” he said. “It’s only been two and a half days. I cannot believe she is gone. She made this house so alive.”
