Jane Lynch: I ‘Would Love to’ Host The View

During an appearance on HuffPost Live Wednesday, actress Jane Lynch was asked if she would be interested in joining The View now that Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy are both leaving the show. “I would love to do it,” Lynch said, but she had some major caveats.

“I would do it for two months or something like that,” she said. “I don’t know if I could do it forever because I’m an actor and I love to act.”

“But I love conversation,” she added. “I think a natural curiosity and that type of thing actually turns me on but I’m an actor and I love to act.”

Lynch is implying that a regular gig on a daytime talk show would mean she needs to give up her acting career. But as it stands now, she hosts the weekly Hollywood Game Night on NBC and that does not appear to have created a conflict with her role on Fox’s Glee.

Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg managed to shoot a six-episode arc on Glee while hosting The View, so maybe the whole thing isn’t as far-fetched as Lynch is making it out to be.
