Jasmine Crockett Slams ‘Wannabe Hitler’ Trump
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) blasted her Republican colleagues, saying they are in thrall to a “wannabe Hitler” in the form of President Donald Trump.
Crockett joined Saturday’s Alex Witt Reports on MSNBC, where Crockett addressed Trump’s woes regarding his former friend Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased child sex trafficker. After pledging to release the Epstein files in the federal government’s possession, the Trump administration has reversed course. And despite saying Epstein’s client list was on her desk, Attorney General Pam Bondi now says there was no list and that Epstein did not blackmail people.
Trump tried to quell the criticism – particularly from his own supporters – by ordering Bondi to release “pertinent” grand jury testimony in the Epstein case. However, as many have pointed out, that testimony represents just a tiny fraction of the government’s documents relating to Epstein.
“What are your Republican colleagues telling you, whether it’s [off-the-record] or even just flat-out discussing this?” Witt asked Crockett. “And do you think there will be a vote next week, whether or not to require these grand jury documents to be released?”
“I absolutely think that they are gonna run away with this as quickly as possible,” Crockett said of her Republican colleagues. “We saw a number of Republicans that just skipped a previous vote this week. So, I don’t anticipate that we will get to any resolution on this.”
She went on to say that Republican lawmakers show fealty to Trump, who is a “wannabe Hitler.”
“They want to show that they’re loyal to this, you know, I don’t even know what to call him,” she continued. “I’ve called him so many things, but this wannabe Hitler for sure. They want to pledge their loyalty to him, and they know that he does not want this released. I think they also are concerned about the damage that it may do. If he’s trying to hide it, they understand that it is most likely problematic for him as well as the MAGA brand, as well the Republicans. So, I don’t anticipate that they will be on board for doing anything that may harm them or their fearless leader.”
