Jesse Watters Asks RFK Jr. Why He Wears Jeans When He Works Out
Fox News host Jesse Watters asked Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Tuesday why he wears jeans when he works out.
During an interview with Kennedy on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, Watters asked, “Before we get started, I have to ask you a question that everybody’s wondering about. Why do you wear jeans when you work out?”
Kennedy replied, “Well, I just started doing that a long time ago because I would go hiking in the morning and then I’d go straight to the gym, and I found it was convenient, and now I’m used to it, so I just do it.”
“Okay, there were a lot of theories, but that makes perfect sense,” concluded Watters.
Kennedy – a well-documented hiking enthusiast – raised eyebrows last month after he was photographed climbing a mountain in the sweltering Arizona heat while wearing a sweaty pair of blue denim jeans. The Health Secretary also raised eyebrows when he was filmed working out in jeans.
“Somebody’s gotta raise this question. Why does RFK wear jeans when he exercises?” asked Fox News host Greg Gutfeld on Tuesday. “This is not the first time, this is now the third or fourth time. It’s all the time. It’s like wearing a Speedo to church. This is not right.”
When USA Today tried to copy Kennedy’s routine as part of an experiment, they experienced mixed results.
“I regretted the choice. The humidity seeped into my pores, and beads of sweat pooled all across my body. Including my denim-covered legs,” wrote USA Today Deputy Wellness Editor David Oliver.
