Jimmy Kimmel’s Ad Shows the Not-So-Yuge ‘Differences’ Between Trump and Cruz
As the Republican Party careens toward either a Donald Trump nomination or a contested convention, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has emerged as the tip of the anti-Trump spear, even sort of endorsing Ted Cruz in Utah without actually endorsing him. On Wednesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, host Jimmy Kimmel unveiled a parody ad that might help to explain some of Romney’s ambivathusiasm by showcasing the many differences between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.
Without spoiling the bit, all I will say is that they missed the fact that only Cruz speaks every sentence as though he’s delivering closing arguments in an eighth grade production of Inherit the Wind, while Trump sounds more like a Turnpike toll booth operator who hasn’t gotten to talk to anybody all day.
