John Oliver Identifies Everything That’s Wrong with 60 Minutes

HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver returned tonight after a two-week hiatus and towards the beginning of the show the host decided to poke fun at another Sunday news institution. No, not Meet the Press. 60 Minutes.

Oliver and his team of researchers uncovered a disturbing trend of the long-running news magazine that has nothing to do with Lara Logan. On far too many occasions, 60 Minutes correspondents have been putting words in their interview subjects’ mouths.

Later in the broadcast, Oliver showed even more instances of 60 Minutes interviewees repeating back their questioners’ comments, emphasizing that they really do this all the time.
