Jon Stewart and John Oliver Stick the Final Nail in Anthony Weiner’s Coffin
It’ll be a long time before Anthony Weiner darkens the doorway of New York politics again (or he’ll probably run for Congress again next year, who knows), but not before Jon Stewart and John Oliver delivered one final goodbye to the one, the only, the Carlos Danger.
After marveling at how cool Bill deBlasio‘s family looks (and sporting an afro), Stewart turned to Weiner laughingly understating himself as “an imperfect messenger.” Weiner’s last photographed action before leaving for the foreseeable future was to flip off reporters.
However, Stewart pointed out, “at least now he’s just flashing his finger.”
Oliver then joined Stewart to perform the Carlos Danger dance one more time, but not before admitting it’s kind of stomach-wrenching to do this now that Weiner’s faded into obscurity again.
